On the one side of the road, you will
see steep mountains and cliffs, while the other side of the road is only a few
feet from the rocky shoreline
.There is lots of vegetation in Hasfjord. In
summer and autumn, you can pick different kinds of wild berries.
Hasfjord has once been an active coastal
village with post office and a small fish-processing company. Today, only two
families live here, but some people are so lucky to own a cabin in this
area.
You really get the impression of
being way out in an old-fashioned farming area when you come here. Goats climb
the rocky terrain; sheep graze the pastures close to the sea and chicken parade
around the houses. Horses, cats and dogs are part of the idyll, too. The place
is a true paradise and children in particular love the place and the various
farm animals.
Close your eyes and listen to that
unique mixture of the seagull, chicken, goats and sheep sounds. Hasfjord really
is a fantastic place -in winter, too (see pictures)!
The travel-related business Hasfjord Villmarksopplevelser offers for example
horseback riding, kayak trips, diving and guided trips.
