Kvithellan is located about 6 km from Hasvik. It is an idyllic area which is popular with nature lovers, particularly in summer. To stroll around Kvithellan in the shine of the midnight sun is something difficult to describe
.one has to experience it oneself!

Some people have a cabin here and there
are lakes with fish as well. During the "Sørøydagene" in summer, fishing
competitions for children take place here. You find a swimming spot for young
and old as well (weather permitting
)
The Kvithell cave, where 35 people hid
from the Germans for 99 days during the war winter of 1944/45, is nearby. Read
