The fishing village Sørvær at the western tip of the island has a long tradition as a commercial fishing place, and now sportfishermen have discovered this fishing paradise, too.

Sørværstua is particularly suited for larger groups booking the entire complex. A total of 10 rooms (each with 2 beds, shower and toilet), cosy commensal facilities with a beautiful ocean view and a well-equipped kitchen are available.

Price per week – 2005

• Complete “Sørværstua” per week , up to 10 persons: kr 30 000,00
  
• Additional charge per person and week (for 11 to 20 persons): kr 1 500,00
  
• Full boarding (per person per week): kr 3 500,00
  
• Transport Alta- Sørværstua (round trip) up to 7 persons: kr 7 142, 00 plus ferry ticket
  
• Transport Alta- Sørværstua (round trip) up to 20 persons: kr 13 714,00 ferry ticket included
  
• Boat 19 feet / 50 HP with fishfinder: kr 4 200,00
  
• Fishing from a larger vessel with skipper per day: kr 4 550,00
